DESCRIPTION
The Branch Librarian will administer the branch library under the supervision of the County Librarian in Sylva, NC. The Librarian will recruit, interview, train and supervise staff and will oversee the development and delivery of library services at the branch. Working with the County Librarian, the Branch Librarian will develop the branch budget. Recruiting volunteers and community service workers is part of the job responsibilities. The Branch Librarian will be responsible for compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as Fontana Regional Library policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Branch Librarian must have a Master's Degree in Library Science from an ALA accredited school. Three years of public library experience are required as well as three years of customer service experience. Two years of supervisory experience are required. A North Carolina Public Librarian Certificate is desirable.
SALARY
$22.50 / Hour
