DESCRIPTION
-Report to the Access Services Section Head and work closely with the Stacks Manager and the Digitization & Scanning Manager.
-Work collaboratively on projects related to research services, material management, circulation, and digitization.
- Assist researchers in person and remotely, providing onsite reference services at the Rubenstein Library desk.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling, policy updates, workflow improvements, and preparing materials for digital upload.
-Routinely move library materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work in an environment in which exposure to materials containing dust and mold is possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an accredited graduate program in archival studies, public history, library/information science, or related field with archival training.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in public services in a special collections environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Detail‑oriented with strong customer service commitment.
- Preferred: Experience in special collections and/or coursework in archival theory and practice.
SALARY
$18.00 / HR
