Position Description: - Support primary source library instruction, such as meeting with instructors, selecting materials, and leading classes. Assist with public programming and exhibitions including curating an exhibition. Answer reference queries from a variety of users in-person and remotely. Contribute to collection development projects and activities.Work a weekly shift in the Rubenstein Library Reading Room. Routinely move library materials weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally works in an environment in which exposure to materials containing dust and mold is possible. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification: BA/BS and current enrollment in an accredited graduate archival studies, public history, or information and library science program. Interest in history of medicine. Strong analytical, organizational, and writing skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Capacity to take initiative and thrive in a rapidly changing environment. Commitment to outstanding customer service and inclusive culture.
Salary: $18 hourly
