The Assistant County Librarian will assist in the management, supervision, and administration of the libraries within the county. In the absence of the County Librarian, the Assistant County Librarian will assume the duties of the County Librarian.

This position will be the primary librarian of instructional technology and pedagogy of LIB1000 classes and library instruction (one shot) sessions. They will serve as the contact for instruction requests and scheduling.

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: ALA Accredited Master’s Degree required.

DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for building partnerships with community agencies to provide, coordinate, and increase awareness of library services. Other responsibilities include customer service to library patrons, planning and leading outreach events, promoting library collections, technology, and services through presentations, programs, and displays, and instructing patrons in the use of library resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited university; 1-2 years related experience.
