RALEIGH, N.C. — The Library of North Carolina’s Accessible Books and Library Services (ABLS) is thrilled to announce an upcoming exhibition at the North Carolina Museum of Art (NCMA), featuring artwork created by North Carolinians who are print-disabled. Both institutions are part of the N.C. Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.

To highlight the exhibition, a reception will be held at NCMA on Thursday, July 16, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the museum’s East Building. This reception is a unique opportunity for media professionals to capture the artistic accomplishments of North Carolinians with various visual, physical and reading disabilities.

ABLS partnered with NCMA on an exciting pilot project to distribute art kits to a group of ABLS patrons, collaborating to modify one of the NCMA To Go Art Kits to make it more accessible to those with various print disabilities.
Artwork will be on display in the NCMA East Building throughout the summer.
