Description: Reporting to the Vice Provost for University Libraries and University Librarian, the Associate University Librarian (AUL) for Health Sciences and Director of the Health Sciences Library (HSL) serves as a member of the University Libraries’ leadership team. The AUL leads the Health Sciences Library, developing and sustaining a vision for the unit that is aligned with future directions and strategic goals of the University Libraries. The AUL fulfills this responsibility by leading, supporting, and developing a dynamic team in creating and implementing innovative, collaborative, and sustainable practices, collections, services, and programs; actively promotes and incorporates tools and methods that create new opportunities for research, teaching, and public service engagement; and oversees HSL facilities and infrastructure. 

Qualifications: Advanced degree in a relevant or related field. Understanding of the issues of scholarly communication and the challenges faced by the 21st century research library. Publication record and experience leading library research teams.
