Description: Within this role the candidate will promote Alamance County Public Library's (ACPL’s) values and mission while following established policies and procedures. The Librarian II: Branch Manager will provide strategic and functional oversight for the Graham Public l Library in Graham, NC, foster collaborative relationships with employees, peers, and community, create an environment that supports change, encourages progress, and promotes empowerment. This position works under the supervision of the Assistant Director. This position is an exempt, 40 hours per week, benefited position. While most hours are Monday – Friday, frequent monthly weekend and evening hours are required.
Qualifications: The best candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent computer and communication skills, a strong work ethic, knowledge of professional library principles, methods, materials, and practices. The position is a member of the library leadership team and works closely with other system Branch Managers to support library services, staff, and the Alamance County community. Master's Degree with 2 to 3 years of professional library experience in a public library OR some college with 5 or more years of full-time experience working in a public library with supervisory responsibilities. Experience with computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, word processing, calendar, e-mail and database; Knowledge of Integrated Library Systems Software; Bilingual (Both written and oral fluency in more than one language) is preferred Flexibility in scheduling is required.
Salary: $56,118.00 - $60,000.00
