DESCRIPTION
Rutherford County would like you to join our team. We have a County Library Director position available. This position is responsible for professional planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of the Rutherford County Library System and oversees three library branches and a bookmobile. Develops and monitors Library budget working with County Manager. Responsible for training and developing staff and volunteers, while ensuring organizational compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes. Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with community groups and county officials, as well as work as a team member with the local Foothills Library Consortium. This position assures the effective and efficient operation of the library and enhances the county’s public image.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required to have a master's degree in library science from an ALA accredited school. Three years of public library experience and two years of supervisory experience is required. Must be eligible for or hold a North Carolina Public Librarian Certification. A driver's license is required.
SALARY
$82,484 plus benefits which include NC Retirement, 401k, health, dental and life
