Description:The part time Evening Librarian supports evening library operations by assisting patrons, shelving materials, offering reference and research help, and maintaining a welcoming, safe, and accessible environment for students and staff. The role requires strong communication, organization, customer service, and the ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team; familiarity with library systems, digital resources, and basic office tools is also valuable. A strong candidate will bring experience in libraries, higher education, or student services, along with a service-minded approach, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and the ability to connect well with diverse campus communities. Experience leading workshops, supporting information literacy, or helping users navigate online databases and technology would be especially beneficial.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Library Science or a related field required. Preferred qualifications include at least one year of library experience, ideally in an academic setting, and experience serving diverse patrons. Candidates should have strong written and verbal communication skills, proficiency with social media, Microsoft Office, library databases, ILS platforms, and digital resources. Familiarity with Google Drive and Dropbox is a plus. Excellent customer service, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and experience supervising staff, student workers, or interns are highly desirable. Evening and weekend availability is required.
