Join the Library of North Carolina's Government and Heritage Library for a virtual webinar with the NC State University Libraries Special Collections Research Center.

In this webinar, Special Collections staff will be presenting on the history and legacy of North Carolina Cooperative Extension. NC Cooperative Extension is a state-based educational system that was established in the early 20th century to bring practical knowledge from land-grant universities to local communities.

This webinar presentation will highlight a current LSTA-funded digitization project that is making NC Cooperative Extension records more accessible to the public. Spanning most of the twentieth century, these records document agricultural innovation, educational outreach, and community development across North Carolina. Laura Lethers, Digital Project Librarian, will guide attendees through the digitized collections, share tips for using Extension records in historical research, and demonstrate how these materials can help researchers interested in North Carolina communities and history.
