DESCRIPTION
WCPL is looking for a dynamic and highly motivated Part-time Adult Services Librarian for the Athens Drive Community Library. In addition to providing direct public service, the Librarian delivers programs and services aimed at an adult audience. These Librarian-led programs and services focus on a variety of topics, scaled to match the part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities of an Adult Services Librarian:
Work directly with the public on a service desk providing excellent customer service
Collaborate with the Library Manager and peers to develop and present programs and services to meet the needs of the community
Provide reference and readers’ advisory services
Maintain and market areas of the adult collections
Assist the public with basic technology and online searching
QUALIFICATIONS
The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
Master's degree in Librarianship or related field: MLS, MLIS, MIS, ML from an ALA accredited program or NC program
No specific experience required
Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
Coursework in adult services
One year of professional librarian experience
Proficiency in a language other than English
