DESCRIPTION
The Library Help Desk Supervisor will provide circulation services to library patrons and reserve services to faculty and students. Additionally, this position provides basic discovery services training to patrons and students; provides both print and electronic resources training, supervises and trains all student assistants in basic circulation functions. This position is also responsible for general maintenance reporting and space management of the Corriher-Linn-Black Library building. Finally, the Help Desk Supervisor also represents the Library on all facilities and equipment projects, promoting safety and security for the building, and maintains various circulation and discovery statistics.
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree is required for this position. Experience in an academic library is preferred, as well as the ability to access and retrieve information from the library catalog and other databases and willingness to pursue library-related continuing education opportunities. Must be reliable and able to handle unexpected situations in a professional manner.
