Description: An employee in this class oversees daily workflow and project management as assigned by Library Administration at the Franklin County Central Library in Louisburg. They train and coordinate part-time library staff to cover circulation and customer service. They assist patrons as needed and model customer service, readers’ advisory, reference, and computer assistance for part-time staff. Work requires collaboration with the Administrative and Management Teams to maintain the Central Library’s collections and supports library services and programming. They also prepare and/or assist with various administrative financial tasks. This position also serves as part of the Library Supervisory Team. Work requires significant public contact. Work is performed independently under the general supervision of the Library Administrative Team and is evaluated based on meeting established goals.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or experience in library work and/or supervisory experience is required or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master’s degree in library science from an accredited ALA Library school is preferred.
Salary: $45,211-$47,472
