Description: North Carolina Wesleyan University seeks a reliable service-oriented individual to manage library circulation operations at night Sunday through Thursday, to provide basic reference and technology assistance to users, and to help maintain a safe, secure, and positive environment in the library. Assists Circulation Supervisor in training and supervising part-time student assistants. Works at the Circulation Desk assisting patrons with circulation, reference, and technology questions and develops good relationships with library users. In collaboration with Campus Security, helps maintain a safe, secure, and positive environment in the library. The Night Supervisor works up to 25 hours per week, typically Sunday through Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to midnight, when school is in session, late August to early May.
Qualifications: Candidates for this position should have at least an associate degree or the equivalent of two years of college; an undergraduate degree is preferred. Computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to troubleshoot computer and printer problems. Library experience and supervisory experience are desirable.
