Job Description: The Small Business Center is seeking a highly motivated Business Services Senior Library Assistant (SLA) to develop, coordinate, and implement programming for all ages, spanning economic and workforce development, including entrepreneurship and small business support. The SLA will also conduct trainings for patrons and community organizations on navigating library resources that enable them to conduct market research, develop business and marketing plans, and gain job readiness techniques.
Work is performed with independence under the supervision of the Business Services Manager.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including one evening shift per week (Monday), every third Saturday, and every twelfth Sunday on a rotating basis.
Qualifications: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with study in library science or related specialty area and two years experience in general library services. Public Library experience. Considerable experience working with entrepreneurs and small businesses. Considerable experience working with underserved populations.
