Description: In this shared Youth Services Co-Coordinator role, you'll have the chance to design imaginative programs, connect with the community, and spark a lifelong love of reading and learning. You'll work alongside another enthusiastic co-coordinator and the Library Director to ensure every program, activity, and daily responsibility is covered seamlessly. The selected co-coordinators will be expected to: Organize and lead engaging programs for children and teens, including storytimes, teen events, and community outreach activities. Plan and take part in outreach efforts with local schools, organizations, and community members to enhance the library’s presence and importance in Sampson County. Support daily library operations by assisting at the circulation desk, helping patrons, shelving materials, and ensuring everything runs smoothly. Work closely with a fellow co-coordinator to manage schedules, divide responsibilities, and ensure the success of all programs.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with coursework in education, library science or another related field supplemented by experience working with children or teens OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and hands-on experience working with children and/or teens. Experience planning or leading programs for young people. Creativity, energy, and a passion for inspiring children and teens. Comfort with computers, office technology, and common software applications. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to work effectively with a co-coordinator. Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a love for working as part of a team.
Salary: $20.41/Hour
